Using specially trained mine detection dogs for clearance and in advanced technical survey roles

MINES AND EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE
XTRACE provides market leading mine detection dog teams for worldwide operations. We work in partnership rather than in isolation. Dogs from XTRACE are unique – all of them are carefully selected High Assurance Search Dogs (HASD) that we train for advanced technical survey and clearance applications under sometimes extreme conditions. Such dogs are hard to find, but we have partnered with the best breeders in the world to succeed. We can thus offer mine detection dogs that by far exceed the performance of other dogs, and we can deploy them flexibly with machines and manual deminers for the highest land release rates. We have a training base in Hungary, where we source most of our dogs. The base offers all-year training in various terrains. We also offer explosive Detection Dogs (EDD) and dogs that can search for improvised Explosive Devises (IED dogs).

HUNDER REDDER LIV (HRL)
Hunder Redder Liv, (Dogs Save Lives – DSL, in English) is a Norwegian charity dedicated to deploying mine detection dogs for humanitarian mine clearance in Ukraine. Their mission is to foster a safe haven for Ukrainians residing in conflict zones. DSL is committed to empowering Ukraine with an extensive mine detection dog programme, ensuring safety and security for all.
XTRACE supports this work and collaborates with DSL. We ensure that dogs and staff from DSL are genuinely utilised for humanitarian demining in Ukraine. We undertake this work voluntarily, free of charge.

ENABLING SAFE CONSTRUCTION OF ROADS, TUNNELS, VERGES AND OTHER CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SITES
XTRACE has teamed with Nordic Sprengstoffhund. The partnership enables faster and more cost-efficient response over larger geographical areas and IMAS (International Mine Action Standards) compliant survey and clearance of Explosive Remnants of War (WW2). The latter may apply at construction sites in and around old WW2 battlefields, or in support of new infrastructure (power lines, roads etc.) in former military shooting ranges and demolition sites.
